Gas lift strutt replacement

Looking for some help on figuring out what PSI gas strut I need.

I am replacing my 20 inch gas strut that holds open my door for the Battery/water heater compartment on my 2001 Itasca Horizon. There is only one strut on the door and it will not keep it open.

It has no markings on it so I am having trouble in determining what pressure i need, they come in various levels of 25lbs to 100lbs.

Just wondered if anyone has had to replace it and what size they used to replace it.

This chart shows the lengths and strengths, I'm trying to find a recommendation for lift strength for you.

https://www.makariosrv.com/gas-sprin...ruts/#Fitchart

This chart says your old one(s) should have a lift strength or part number to cross reference:

This chart has a calculator:

EDIT: This one should get you really close: http://www.rvdesigner.com/gas_props.asp?ci=12

Go to the Winnebago site and get the parts list for your coach. It should have both the Winnebago part # and the specs for gas strut.

Well now you know what to look for, that's a start. There are so many different struts available it can take a bit of research, especially if you're comparing prices.
