Factory Tour/Watch Building of Your Coach

I seriously considering ordering the Tour or Eclipse 42' CD or AD. I will do a factory tour before we purchase but was curious as to, do they allow you to watch your coach being built? I know Tiffin does and search this site but didn't find anything in regards to watching it being built.

Thanks in Advance

We bought our Voyage and took it to the factory in Forrest City for modifications and was told they don't let anyone on the assembly floor. Thor does, Tiffin does but not Winnebago.

Saying continuously, without knowing why: ‘Let us go on’.

We went last summer to the GNW and they had tours all day long we went on the tour and saw all the process from the rail to finish coach. We also went to where they made all the inside chairs and stuff. They are very friendly and they have the big GNW every year in July. I would say call them and ask them about watching your coach go down the line. hope this helps

Your dealer should be able to arrange a "VIP" tour that does take you on the floor like the special tours they give at the Grand National Rally. He has to request it from Winnebago.
You get see a lot more on those tours than you do on the regular factory tours.

Whether you can see your coach being built or not I don't know. I can envision some timing issues. I would ask the dealer to check with Winnebago.

I was questioning GNW. I'll be at the GNR again this year.

Not a motorhome but I purchased a manufactured home several years ago and I wanted to see how they were constructed, etc. They told me no I could not tour to which I said I will not buy your product. They set us up with a very nice person and gave us all the time in the factory we wanted and told us to come back and watch ours constructed. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't but I'd suggest you tell them you won't buy the product until you can actually see it being built. It's easier for them to say the insurance company won't allow us to do that than it is to take the effort to make it happen.

Sorry about that. I didn't even see the GNW typo.
