Factory Service?

Curious if Winnebago has a factory service "center" and if so...how hard to get appointment? and what experiences have you had?

Since I live in Mpls area it would be very convenient to use Forest City for service if they have that option. Seems like more and more owners are going to factories for their service?

Thanks...TomR

Yes they do located adjacent to the factory in Forest City. Just got back yesterday from being there 10 days for a list of things mostly warranty. Much better than the dealer experience I had right after the purchase, not perfect but overall a good experience.
Call 866-311-7133 to schedule or they take walk ins as well, but an appointment is better.
They try to return your coach every afternoon at 3:00 PM so you can sleep in it and return it to them at 7:00 AM the next day unless they have to do something that requires more than 8 hours or so to complete and renders the coach unusable. Then you might have to stay in a local motel. Parking right on the service center grounds.
Good luck,

Winnebago factory service is excellent for work on the house parts that they make & assemble. But you may want to visit other factory service centers for some specialty systems, such as a Freightliner Oasis center for the chassis, or HWH for the jacks (hydraulics).

Another option for you is Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City. They are a good service center and have quick access to parts. They also have RV parking with hookups on site.

Why would you drive 150 miles to Forest City, Pleasureland in Ramsey does a nice job and their St Cloud location has a great service dept.

One of the reasons is parts availability. Sometimes at Pleasureland you have to wait a week for parts, either leave the motor home there or bring it back. I agree that Pleasureland is fairly good if you want to leave it for a period of time. This is one of my major complaints about dealers. Most don't stock hardly any parts and charge extra to expedite delivery with overnight shipping.

Seems like many have given up on the dealers and are relying more and more on the manufacturers for service. Perhaps Pleasureland is one of the quality service dealers?

Thanks...TomR
