EZ Zip Awning Sunshade/screen Question

I'm considering buying one of the drop sunshades that has a shorter panel that permanently slides into the awning and rolls up with the awning. The shorter panel is about 2-3 feet long, depending on the height of the sunshade.Then you zip a larger panel onto it. This prevents having to use a tall ladder to remove the entire shade when you roll it up. My question is, can the Winnebago electric awning handle the extra fabric of the shorter panel? Will it fit into the protective metal tube and will it add stress on the electric motor?

We have had one for 3 years with no problems. Have never zipped on the bottom half, find the 3' generally provides enough shade. I think any awning brand can handle this.

We have been very happy with ours. Since it rolls up with the awning it is so simple to use.
