DPF Delete.

Anyone do a dpf delete on their cummins? I have a 2009 Itasca Meridian with the 350 hp 6.7 cummins. Don't really require it up in Canada. Put one on my Ford pick and got a lot better fuel milage.

I know that a "dpf" is a large muffler-looking part of the exhaust system which traps and burns off soot particles, but not all of us know what a "dpf delete" actually consists of. Please expand your comments, 'cause I sure don't understand how you "put on" a "delete". THANKS, Ed

It would consist of a piece of exhaust pipe that replaces the large particulate filter. The pipe that replaces the filter also has the proper fittings installed for the probes / sensors to be re installed. Then you need a program or tuner to shut off the regeneration program.

I did the same with similar results. Well worth it IMO.

DPF and EGR cooler Delete

I did the deletes on my 2010 Dodge 2500 and added the tuner from H&S Performance and let me tell you.... It made a world of difference ; More power ; More responsive throttle ; Better fuel mileage(went from 17 to 20hwy) Also the crankcase oil doesn't get black and contaminated instantly!!! upon changing oil and filter.
I wanted to buy a Thor MH with a MaxForce engine ; but couldn't find anyone who had done deletes on a Motorhome with the new up-front diesel engines.....I'm sure people will start doing it soon. The only draw-back is ; If you live in an area with state inspections that require all of that to be intact ; You may have a problem. (I do not) God Bless Rural Texas!!
