Here are comparison photos of last night to this morning. The temperature dropped to 24 degrees last night. We found that the new double wipe seal on the bedroom slide was beneficial in keeping the bedroom at a more reasonable temp, i.e. less air leaks.

Several weeks ago, I modified the water compartment by installing a 110 volt outlet. I used a plug-in thermostat to operate a 60 watt light bulb. The water compartment maintained at temp of 40 degrees. It also helped to have my self-designed modification that fills the door seal gap when the sewer hose is extended. Water Comp Door Mod

All said, we are better prepared for the cold weather.

Pretty scenery around the campground. As long as you're staying warm and not having to get on the roads, might as well sit back and enjoy the snow.

Rex - that sure looks pretty, but are you there by design?

John,

You asked if we were here by design and the answer is Yes. On our last trip we made a lifestyle decision to downsize our home and travel more. Upon our return to Colorado we put our house on the market. It sold in 4 weeks. We bought a smaller home under construction. It will be completed on November 9. Until then we are living in our Horizon. Once we get settled in the new house we plan to head south.

Tom N,

Thanks for the Christmas Card idea. My wife suggested I take a photo for Christmas cards. Now I have one.
