Chrome covers for side mirrors???

Hello,

I have a 2006 Itasca Meridian that has black side mirrors, does anyone know if they make a chrome cover for these?? I have been hunting but can't seem to get anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Boy, you are always thinking of ways to spend my money. I love the idea. I will tell you one possible solution. A company called Summit Products makes stainless "decorative parts". I purchased the stainless covers for the Quickee steps and have been very, very pleased with it. They are highly polished and easy to install. It makes the coach look more high end and hides the ugly black finish Quickee uses that turns to rust after a couple of years. You might give them a call and see if they would be interested in this. Tell them your idea, and include me as a buyer if they do it. They are very nice people. They sell to Winnie now making those stainless pieces on the bottom of the storage compartments on the newer coaches. Let us know what you find out.

I thought black mirrors look pretty good but if they are painted steel bring on the stainless steel.

You can replace those black mirror heads with the chrome heads cheaper than you might expect. If your mirrors are Velvac, call Velvac and get the exact replacment chrome part #, then find a Fleet Pride dealer and order them (Fleet Pride will sell them to you for far less than getting them directly from Velvac). I paid about $67 each for replacement heads when I had my coach painted recently.

Another option is to have the mirror arms and heads painted to match one of the accent colors on your coach. I had my arms painted a gun metal gray and used the chrome heads.

Ok I emailed them, wow they had some really cool stuff. Now I want to do my exterior steps.

Good Idea I will look into that option also.

If you want to replace the entire mirror head, such as Velvac, you might check out Ryder Fleet Products at Ryder

Far cheaper than ordering direct from Velvac and if you don't have the part number, you could look in the Winnebago Parts and Accessories Catalog. I've used them before and was very happy with their customer service. -RT
