Cheap solution to a pet peeve
This is a twofer. We normally seek out state and federal parks/lands. But even we occaisionally wind up at RV parks or Resorts. Although there are always exceptions, our experience has been that RV park/Resort site size is inversely proportional to daily rate. Add to that, most Class A's have their waste tank compartments on the driver side and awnings on their navigator side (their patio if you will).
So, how often have you kicked back in your zero gravity recliner, adult beverage in hand, sun setting between your flipflopped feet and had that all sullied by the neighboring rig dumping tanks? Nice people, not their fault, but our three foot strip of grass abuts their three foot sandbox. Makes you wonder why there is not a low hedge or privacy wall there. We have never stayed at a place that had such. At any daily rate.
Found a cheap solution at the beach. Thought we'd share in case there are other folks around as fastidious us. We bought a beach wind screen from a wandering vendor. Weighs just a pound or two, rolls up to about the size of a golf umbrella, sets up in seconds. Here's a similar one at the big A ( https://www.amazon.com/Sport-Design-...uding-Umbrella.)
We are in something of a moral quandry though. Should we also buy another wind screen for OUR waste connection so as not to offend our driver side neighbor?

Humm, I can think of a number of RV parks/resorts that have a nice hedge between sites. One in Tucson even.
I’ve been lucky, I guess the time of day I kick back isn’t “generally” dumping time. Not that it couldn’t happen.
You’ve really had this happen to you?

You're right, my link is a dud. However, rk911 is on a roll. Except for color is exactly what we bought in Puerto Penasco.
creativepart, there is a reason why you never say never, and always use a backdoor qualifier like " in our experience". We "camp" much more than we "resort". We often carry 4 - 20" x 6' pieces of expanded metal in the bed of our dinghy (Ranger). Get a real kick out of people asking us how we got our rig into "that" spot. Often followed by "If it rains, can you get it out?"
We can count the number of full service, 5-star RV Resorts we've stayed at on our fingers and have fingers left over. As we live in Tucson, we've no experience with local portals. Our most egregious experience, as a ratio of value received to cost was in WallaWalla, Wa.
But, there is a lot of road still out there. Miss Winnie is still looking good and running fine. Who knows how we will describe our experiences in a couple of years?
(keeping our screen, just in case )

Oldchinahand,
Well Sir,
There are plenty of RV parks and campgrounds that have the kind of separation you're speaking of. One in particular is in Sevierville TN. It's not a very big park but, it's a very well kept park. You're parked at an angle, with the nose of your coach about 25' from a slow, easy going river. You're on clean concrete and, there's NO DIRT OR GRAVEL anywhere on your site. And, the really nice part, there's a nice hedge in between EVERY space.
We were just traveling through, on our way home from a long, long trip and, we stopped there for just a night. Well, we liked it so much, we opted for two more nights. It's right up the road from "Dolly Wood" and, the Smokey Mountain National Park. And, a well known attraction, "Gatlinburg" is also a short jaunt away. It's called Two Rivers Landing RV Park. It was very nice to be there. The desk people were as nice and accommodating as possible etc.
Not only all that but, about less than one minute away is the largest Knife store on the planet. It's called Smokey Mountain Knife Works. Practically 4 stories of knives, guns, and anything to do with camping, hunting, fishing, knives and oh, did I mention KNIVES?
Anyway, that's just one of the nice and clean parks we had the pleasure of staying at, with SEPARATIONS between spots.

Looks, nice of Google Maps, but boy are they snooty, you have to have a Class A or a SUPER C to park on the river side (aka River FRONT), everyone else goes on the road side (aka River VIEW). Oh, and no truck campers. Do they not understand that some truck campers sell for more than some nice travel trailers do? (Host Mammoth, $60K)
