Chassis grease splatter removal

Last time I greased the Journey I noticed a lot of grease splatter all around the yoke and universal area. This probably occurred by my overfilling the universals and then running in hot temps at highway speed...Can anyone reccomed a product that doesn't smell like Gunk does that can desolve and clean the grease off the unside areas..It is thick in spots to be scraped off with a putty knife....Last time I used Gunk the fumes leaked up into the bedroom and stayed for many days....thanks...RKL

Mine is the same way....those U joints sling the grease everywhere. It is why I refer to mine as the 'greasy beast.'

Maybe some Greased Lightning or Simple Green...soak it well and wash it off with some hot water?

Try "Oil Eater." I've found it to be the best and is environmentally friendly. Even better than "Simple Green", in MHO.

Removes It (can't remember if removes is spelt with a "v" or a "z") is what we went to in the refinery to degrease everything when we went "green". Even put it in the clothes wash. Smells like oranges and works great (of course not as good a TCE but that was another time).

RKL, Leave the grease alone. There is no such thing as overfilling the universal joints, that's what you are supposed to do to displace contaminants in the cups. Unless you are willing to dedicate a lot of time and effort to do this cleaning chore, it's not something that I know of that anyone pursues with any type of regularity.

The grease is on the bottom and who sees it? I'd find other things that need my attention.

It's easier to get off when it's fresh. And who needs gobs of it falling onto the pavement. And it's harder to get it out of your hair than it is to keep it cleaned up to begin with. Cleanliness is next to
