Does anyone know where the transmission control module is located on a 2002 Journey 39qd?Or the vehicle interface module. Just spent 3 hrs at Freightliner for trans work that they could not do because they could not find the above. Winnebago tech assist did not know either. Why am I not surprised?

Didn't Freightliner install those items?

GG1,
I have an 02 39QD. What kind of transmission work were they supposed to do?

In El Paso a couple of years ago we looked for two hours on my 03 Journet 36GL. Finally located in under front dash.

Freightliner was going to check the electrical connections due to an intermident problem with shifting from neutral to drive, after the coach sits for a week or more drive does not engage until you give it gas then it slams into gear. According to Freightliner Winnebago puts the device where its easy for them. They called Winnebago and was told it could be in several locations all were checked by Freightliner unsuccessfully. After reviewing the problem they decided it was an Allison issue and not Freightliner. The next step is an apt. with Allison.(3 years of frustration!!!)
