Adding a peel and stick tile backsplash in a 2017 31K

I would like to add a tile backsplash around the oven burners. This is an upgrade that we did not get. I would like something light but not "flat". I have looked at Lowe's and Home Depot and all I can find are heavy sheets which need to be grouted. I don't want to add the weight. But, when I looked at the Smart Tile it was so thin (like wallpaper) I was unimpressed -- looked cheap.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank You.

I have read that the Smart Tiles should not be used near the stove due to heat.

I used PVC Decorative back splash panels in my apartment and wouldn't hesitate to use them in an RV. This is a link to one of the designs https://www.homedepot.com/p/Fasade-1...1-21/100521697 I used a bronze but there were plenty to choose from. You use two sided tape to attach them to the wall and they have matching edge pieces that give it a finish look. I did put a sheet of stainless steel alongside the stove as it was right against the wall but in an RV if there is nothing there now I don't believe they are worried about heat at the wall. Home Depot has the stainless steel sheets if you want to go that route.

That does look nice. I think I need color though as I have grays and light brown (tan) colors.

Can I put up backsplash panels behind my stove?
Even though the backsplash panels are fire-retardant, they can be deformed by excessive heat (over 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The panels can be installed behind a stove if the stove has a control panel. Be sure to keep stovetop burners, toaster ovens, cooking ranges, etc., 2-3 inches away from the panel's surface.

This is from manufacturer regarding using near stove. I think they look great, might even be an option for our RV

They may be what you're looking for but Lowe's has, 12" x 12" metal mosaic tiles that we've purchased to use as a backsplash in our 2002 Suncruiser 35U.

Here's a link to one design (they have others):

The peel and stick smart tile looks much better if you peel back the plastic sheet they put over the top to protect it during shipping. If you haven't already, peek under the plastic to see what it REALLY looks like - there's a big difference.

Because Lowes and Home Depot near us only care what we consider to be 'drab' colors we ordered ours online. We were quite pleases with the results.

Aside from appearance, I chose the metal tiles I mentioned since they're easier to clean and are heatproof.

I bought 1/8" thick Acrylic sheets from Tap's Plastic. Doesn't take away from the wallpaper pattern, easy to wipe and/or replace.

We have had Smart tiles up for just about a year now. Went behind the sink, around the corner and behind the stove. We've not had any problems with it so far. We went with a plain white subway tile. There are already plenty of colors and unusual patterns (who designs these things anyway) in the rv that we thought just plain would work.

I used the those peel and stick faux tiles in our 2007 Sightseer. Made a big difference! Our cooktop has a folding top and protects the back wall from heat.

I put smart tiles in my Horizon two years ago. No adverse effects from the stove top or oven heat.
