accidental grounding when replacing batteries

Is there a fuse that blows when this happens. If so where is it located?

If you can share what kind of RV you are asking the question about. Different kinds of RVs different answers.

On my 2004 Horizon, there is a 300 Amp fuse in the battery compartment. It is located on the forward side rail.

Follow your red lead, the fuse is placed close to the battey.

Would this fuse be in the coach or chassi battery compartment?

Typically it is in the battery compartment on one of the compartment walls. Follow the wires.
