6 inch fans

Did Winnebago ever have coaches with 6 inch fans installed in the dash area? I am trying to find a wiring diagram to install two fans in the overhead area above my dash.

My 2012 Journey 40U has 2. I would think that all you would need is a 12V source and a place to mount a toggle switch.

Personally don't follow wiring diagrams very well but you might be able to find something in this.

The 2014 brochure shows defroster fans as standard. The Front End Wiring Installation shows a squirrel cage type blower and ducts above the windshield and a switch below the radio for it.

You have that, right? You want to add more fans?

I am not certain I understand what you are trying to do. Are you talking about the bus fans that have been around for ever? Those ugly cages with a fan in them mounted in the head liner over the windshield? I thought all class A's had them.

I stand corrected: http://www.winnebagoind.com/diagram/...ire_183746.pdf

I think you can use the same switch if you tap off the fan motor. Mounting them will mean getting to the area over the dash. Have fun with that one.

None of our 3 DP's (2 Dutch Stars and now the Magna) have had them, all had ductwork and fans in the overhead.

I found the fan part number it's 122856-01-01A Fan defroster chrome Winnebago parts 800-933-7742, cost should be 30.00 - I hope these do what I want them to do, they are 2 speed fans.

And he is asking about his Winnebago in the Winnebago forum. He isn't asking about Dutch Star or Magna.

Fleetwood and 2 Winnebago coaches have. I have not noticed them missing in other coach manufactures. But, then, I had no reason to be taking notice.

Post some pictures 46490. You never know who might benefit. Also, please be aware of the fact that your post with the Skype in it does crazy things when trying to quote it.

Fans installed

Ok the job is done - now if someone can explain in simple terms how to post pictures. I will post construction phase pictures, part numbers and items I found to be sub-standard with the basic build of the RV (poor workmanship).
