We will be there. This will be our third year and am already excited. I hope that I can meet some of you folks. We will be in the lower D section with our friends. A meeting place and time would be great.

I just got my new irv2 decals to put on our new Vectra. Maybe I should use one of them and "stick" it on my forehead so everyone will know who I am! Then we can all recognize each other if we all do that.

I'll have to remember to bring my tux - we haven't been on a cruise in a couple of years so it might as well get some use.

I was just thinking the same thing John. I wondered if I would recognize you without the tux....and the wink!

We will be there also. This is our first GNR and are looking forward to it. We will be in the Michigan row. Hopefully we will get to meet some of the irv2.com group.

Its good to see a lot of WIT and irv2 members will be a GNR for the first time. I know there are many folks out there that have been in the "double diget" times, but this will be our third time in three years. Don't know why we waited so long since we have been in WIT for 11 yrs. It is truely a great time, not only for the first rate entertainment, but the seminars are a great source of information. Also, there are vendors from so many of the major players in the RV world...like Blue OX, Workhorse, Winegard, just to name a few. We got a great deal and trade in on a new BO tow bar that we would have never received anywhere else. For some things you can sign up for service right at your site...like Onan will come service your generator. Of course for anyone that needs factory service that is available also. Just be prepared to have to be in the factory lot across the street at 5:30AM if you are on the early list. You have to sign up for that at Friendship Hall when you get to the grounds and then check the list that will be posted there to see when your appt. will be. So if you have a pet you might want to make arrangements with a friend to "pet sit" while your coach is being serviced.
Many coaches arrive for the week before GNR "Pucker Brush" days....don't ask! We will be pulling in on the friday afternoon before GNR begins on that Sun. I really think we should arrange a "meet and greet" with all of you from irv2. I will work on that and try to find out where would be a good place and time. As of next weekend we will no longer be the owners of the 04Vectra, and our 08 will be here about mid Feb. The new owners not only bought our Vectra, but they want to join our local chapter...so it's like marrying off one of our kids selling to them. We will still get to see "her", but she's not our responsiblity any more! It is still a great coach and well cared for, so we are not concerned about having close contact with the new owners. Have a great day!

I'm thinking about arriving maybe a week early to get some work done before the mad rush begins.

Let me know if you need some long-distance assistance with securing a place.

Sounds like a great deal for you and the buyer of your Vectra. They get automatic hand-holding while they get accustomed to the coach.

Okay, here is the plan. I contacted Doug Formanek the GM of WIT at Winnebago. He as been "looking after" the assembly of our new coach for us. I told him that many of the forum members will be coming to GNR this year and we would like to have a central place to meet each other. He is going to help arrange this for us. Since there are many seminars going on during the day, and I know you may want to attend them, we will try to pick a time that won't conflict. I will eventually need a head count so they will know how large a place we will need....there is plenty of time for that. Doug and his wife Pat would like to come by and say hello to everyone too. I will keep track and post when I have more info.

Glenda - glad you have it well in hand! When it becomes time for a show of interest, maybe you should start a new thread, or perhaps a forum "buddy" list where you can directly address attendees.

This will be our first year in attendance. Hopefully, we won't be the only ones in the Oregon row.

Cathy and I are going. We spent the last 5 days camping with the WIT-365 club about 5 miles north of Quartzsite. We will be in the North Dakota row at GNR. It should be a special GNR with the 50th anniversary.

I have began taking a head count of those irv2 members who will be going to GNR. Since there are seminars being held through out the day, Doug Formanek suggested we could use one of the large tents after 5:00 when the seminars are over. Of course he said it would "cut into" the cocktail hour! So maybe we could have a cocktail hour of our own. I will firm up the date and location in time to get the word out to everyone and so I can let him know how many will be there. We can also advertise the place and time once we get to GNR. Gee, I smell a party.

We will be there, our first, in the Wa. row.
It should be interesting. Was wondering if you should arrive early, to get some work done?

Thanks, Jim
