Soft start

Does anyone have an experience with the micro air soft start? Trying to get champion 3200 peak watt generator to power AC

Jandjstar, I recently installed a Micro-Air EasyStart 364 on my Dometic Brisk II 13,500-BTU air conditioner and can now run it easily on one Honda EU2200i generator in Eco mode.

Jandjstar, Attached are the documents I used when I did my install. There is no start capacitor to remove if your AC is the same as mine. Also, I would wait and mount the Easy Start after you have made all your wire connections.

Attached are a couple more pictures before the installation.

The first is the top of the run capacitor, As you can see, there are 3 white wires, you need to trace these and connect the correct one to the Brown wire from the Easy Start (#3 in the instructions). This is probably the trickiest part as far as getting everything wired correctly.

The second picture shows the location of the Blue wire which runs from the 6-pin connector on the control board to the compressor’s overload protector. You need to connect the Easy Start's Black wire into this Blue wire (#6 in the instructions). I used an end splice to make a 3-way connection.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures after I finished the install but I will take some if you would like me to, but it will be a day or two before I will have time to do that.

Also, I would suggest purchasing the install kit for $10 along with the Easy Start if you go this route...unless you already have the connectors needed. You will also need a wire stripping/terminal crimping tool for the connections.

Good Luck!
