On my 2004 Sightseer it turns on the rear heat which comes from the engine and the ducks come out on the rear queen bed frame.

I think your '97 has a different setup that the later stuff. Isn't your heater just under your rear bed? I know my Mom's '99 was like that. WAY easier to get that than the underfloor setup.

'97 Adventureer Rear Heat

Tim:
I really haven't a clue. I've only had the coach a few weeks and it's been too cold to do much of anything. But, I really want to get on the road in the next 10 days or so. When I drove it home from Fernley, NV, about 25 miles, I got very little heat from the dash heater, so the rear heat may be really necessary. I know about them because of my '89 Elandan 37RQ. That one is VERY accessible. I couldn't see anything in this Adventurer, except the round vent low on the wall across from the bathroom and the flexible duct going down. The PO had replaced the water heater, but didn't go with the engine assist heat - yuck!. When I turned it on, I heard nothing, but really had no idea what I was looking/listening for. I wasn't able to find specific information on my coach.

Thanks,
Roland Hyatt

In your Parts Catalog I see a section for the "AUTOMOTIVE REAR HEATER SYSTEM".

No pictures. But the part number listed, 084405-01-000, when Googled, does show pictures of an above floor heater setup in other models with that part.

Motor Aid

It's called "motor aid". Winnebago has been doing it a long time routing engine heat to the rear and giving the option of high and low blower speed over a heater coil. The down side is you can't control the temperature. I have a 2007 Sightseer with the same option. Good luck--Lee Biloxi, MS

Thanks, Tim. I've been at it for a couple of hours, got the part number for the heater, but can't seem to get a picture. Browser issues. I've tried Brave, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. None yet will load a picture.

Roland... if you're taking about using the 2D/3D Cortona-based WBGO Part display on Winnebago Ind's website. It will only work with Windows and MS IE "Internet Explorer 11.0 or a later version.". Not even Edge in compatibility mode will suffice.

You'll need to install the Cortona helper addon to your browser. THEN and only then will you see all the parts and their orientation.

Thanks. I suspected something like that I did download the 64bit version for Windows 10, but haven't successfully installed it to a browser. I'm still on it!
