Ok all of you 39w destination and Itasca latitude owners I have read the owners manual and looked inside our closet, but cannot find water heater bypass. The ownera manual shows it in the basement, but its not there. HELP

I have an Itasca Meridian and the by-pass is in the same compartment where the city water hose hooks up. Also the fresh water lever to fill the fresh water tank is also. Don't know if they are all the same or if this will be any help to you.

Hi you YngRvr's,

The plumbing diagrams for your coach show the winterizing bypass valve inside the coach, I assume to the left side of the washing machine or the right side of the closet close to the floor. (if you have a washing machine) Seems like the washer/dryer sets over the water heater and from the virtual tour, there appears to be a panel on the right side of the closet at the bottom as well as a panel on the right side of the floor of the closet. I would expect there to be a cover over the opening since this should open to the outside and right into the water heater compartment. Don't want propane getting into the coach. I'll put the link to the diagram here, page 6 is what you need as well as the Bedroom virtual tour from the Winne web site.

We have an 08 Meridian and i just found mine with a little help from my dealer on the phone. Mine was located behind and below the washing machine. To access it, I had to go into the closet. on the drivers side bottom of the closet there was a piece of wood trim. Had to take that off (2 screws) behind that there was a piece of paneling and 4 more screws. Take those out and the bypass switch will be right there. hope yours is the same as ours and you find it. Good luck
