My '99 Chieftain I believe has the same filter system and this is what I use:

Omnipure E5515-P Residential (Everpure Compatible) Water Filter Cartridge

If it was installed by Winnebago, you might start here:

Look at Lowes and/or Home Depot. Residential under the sink filter systems work just as well for less $$. The one I have in a 2009 Adventurer would swap right out with the one under my kitchen sink from Lowes

I believe all the Winnebago products use the Everpure cartridge. I read somewhere on here a while back that you could go to a website called "waterfilters.com" or something similar and buy a generic filter that would fit for about $19 or $20.00. That's what I'm going to do next year.

Everpure and Omnipure appear to be the same company, as part #'s are the same. Yes, replacement cartridges are expensive. It is because they have such a large capacity, mine is 7,000G. Of course we will never approach that capacity in one year, so when we store the MH for more than a month I remove the cartridge, drain it, then put in in the deep freeze until needed. Everpure does sell a 2-pack of 1/2 size cartridges for vacationers for about $10 more than the large cartridge, which is designed for full-timers. The head will be either a QL2 or QL3, Filtersfast.com sells replacements that fit both heads.
