I replaced the OEM 2.8 gpm pump with Shurflo's Revolution pump which is rated at 3.0 gpm. It is an exact fit. I had read so much negative about the larger pumps and this one is working fine.

I just replaced my Shurflo with another Shurflo I found on eBay. Works great. Same fittings, same power connections. The holes did not match up exactly (different model and way many years difference) but not a big deal in my case.

What happened to the shurflow pumps you guys have replaced?
Is it a motor problem or a pump problem?
Has anyone taken them apart to determine the failure?
I rebuilt one after 10 years of service for $15.00 a simple rebuild kit did the job

A rebuild kit might have worked fine (lack of suction), but as it was a very old pump and the price on ebay was reasonable I simply decided to replace it. Now that I have it out, I may take a moment to check/clean/rebuild and then I'll have a spare or use it for some other situation, or heck eBay it.

Kinda weird the way mine quit. It was working just fine, then we went out for this weekend and it didnt work at all. I checked the elect. and have 12V at the pump when I operate the switch. Glad we had hook ups.
My old pump is a 2088 403 144. I called shur flo and they say its replaced by 2088 422 444 for a direct replacement.

I replaced mine too. Mine was less than a year old and I left the pump switch on while on an 8 hour drive and got to my destination and thought it was makeing a funny noise. I ended up replacing it myself Shurflo's Revolution like SML did. Still makes the same noise! :-) CW 80.00. And it did not line up either. Another 20 minute job took two hour after I made a trip to Home Depot. That was before I found iRV2.

Talked to the guy at the shur flo Booth at a rally ;; nice fellow;; told me to take the plastic end off, Pheleps screws;; clean it real clean ; take the screens off clean them up real good. and try it;; He said to call him if it didn't work; That was 2 years ago; It still works perfect;; Dirt and scum block it up;; Works like new ; about 1 hour of my time;; life is good;;Oh they have 2 engine protection switches on them.# 1 the water pressure switch; #2 a thermal heat switch on the moter that shuts it down when it gets hot; that one will let the pump start after it cools down. the other of course the water pressure. If the pressure is not there it's the thermal one;; The pumps are quite simple. and will last a lifetime if kept clean;;

I replaced my pump yesterday, and easy 25 minute task.
I took my old pump home and took it apart. It was clean as a whistle. On the rear is a screw that you can adjust the pressure, I moved it back and forth and put it back in the same position.
Reassembled it and it works perfect. Whats the deal???
Anyway, I guess I have a spare pump.

Took mine to the Shurflo booth at GNR. he couldn't fix it, so he gave me a new one. Now I have a spare.
