We need to replace the shower valve on our 2003 35U Itasca SunCruiser. It has never worked right. You either get hot or cold. It's hard to get the right temperature. It has a round gold plate around it. Any suggestions.

Just did it on my Adventurer, I hate plumbing, and even I could accomplish the change. The valve is a MOEN valve, and the Moen website makes it easy to identify. I called them, and they sent a valve stem, and a stem removal tool FREE. They said 7 to 10 days, received it in 2. Remove the golden trim plate, carefully breaking the silicon seal. I put the screws back in and used a scrap wood wedge to hold the valve assembly tight. I needed to use WD40 and more pressure than I liked to remove the core. Replacement was easy. The shower now works fine. Good Luck
I changed mine 2 years ago. I was having the same problems you are having. I ordered the Winnebago upgrade kit through Lichtsinn Motors. It works great and I am very happy with it.

I also changed mine about a year ago. Delta makes an excellent replacement. However the gold may be hard to find. Seems the RV industry is about the only ones that use the gold anymore. I could look up the model number if you are interested. Only cost about $60.00. We also changed the sink faucet with matching as we didn't like in either, the spout was too short. We put in a hi-arc so my wife could wash her hair.
