frozen block in ice tray

My ice maker made one solid block of ice in the tray instead of ice cubes & I had icicles hanging from the shelf. Has anyone had this happen to them? Please help me out.

Thank you for welcoming me to this site!

Our experience with the ice make

We found that if we accidentally left the ice maker operating (bar down) on ours while in travel and motion, that the water would not set up and freeze in dispensed cubes. Instead it kept spilling water into the collection bin and froze in a large block.

Our fix was simple-- raise the bar and we don't make ice while the motorhome is in motion. We drop the ice maker bar to make ice only when the rig is set up and still in a campsite or home for an extended period with no motion.

Hope this helps?

ice bar off

hey American Rascal,
Thanks for your response but I am 99.9% sure I did not have the bar up but I will try it now that I am home and see how it goes. I'll let you know what the outcome is.
