Can anyone tell me how I drain my fresh water tank on my 87 Chieftain? The tank is located directly under my wardrobe but from underneath the RV I cant find a valve anywhere. I opened the water heater and drained that then let the pump run for a few minutes but I dont think thats how its done is it?

Have you checked to see if there is a low point drain? We have one on our Damon, and no main drain that I have been able to find.
I opened the low point and turned the pump on. Drained pretty fast, but nearly like the Horizon we had the the big drain in the center of the tank.
I had a '97 Fleetwood with the water tank under the bed. It had a pipe leading out of the bottom edge of the tank, running down thru the floor with a little lever right at the floor level which when turned 90 degrees would drain the water tank. Can you see all around the edges of your tank to see if there is any kind of valve?

Not sure where exactly. However, there should be some plastic pipes sticking down through the floor which can be seen from below. on the upper side of them you will find the valves. On my old coaches the valves were located in several spots for winterizing. They were located in the under sink cabinet location and under a bed on one side.

I had an '88 Chieftain and the tank was under the wardrobe. the drains were under the tub/shower. Look for a small panel at floor level held in with 4 screws about midway of the tub. Good luck.
