Cold night tonight, worry about pipes?

Forecast is low of 29 degrees tonight. Does anyone have experience with a View at this temperature? Should I run the furnace to keep the coach pipes from freezing? I do have heated tanks but the RV is in the storage yard. At worst, I can spend the night there and run the furnace.

You should not have a problem for one night at 29 degrees. Day time temps should even it out.

Should be no issue for one night.

I don't believe that it will be cold enough for long enough to do any damage. You might check the local on line weather service to see just how many hours freezing temps are expected. You didn't say where you were located in Maine but I'm in Pittsfield and we're not expecting anything close to freezing.

It will likely be fine, as others have said. However, if it were me I'd probably run the furnace tonight just to be sure.

Thanks all for the quick replies! I'm running the furnace as a precaution in case they miss-judged the low temps. Cracker39, sorry for the misdirection on the forum name. I'm originally from Maine, now in Colorado.

I was once told by an ol' timer who owned a RV park in Colorado that a typical Class A can handle 20F for 3 nights without having to add heat to the tanks. But he also said that the tanks either be empty or 2/3rd full.

Now the pipes...whole nuther level but the gist of it was that if you're comfortable inside, the pipes will do fine. If you're not going to be there, open all the water faucets, including the shower, drain whatever you can to at least put some air space in them...and you're good for a night or two or three. Even without heat if you do it right.
