I believe part of the issue is with the backlight on the SAMSUNG main TV. This interference has been reported on both SAMSUNG and DISH forums.
The system seems much more robust (not perfect) when using the aft TV.
I've tried total darkness with only the aft TV and it is still not perfect.
What I've discovered so far:
1. The Dish network receiver (211z I think) is very sensitive to angle of the arriving beam - I have not figured out the optimal beam.
2. The dish network receiver is also sensitive to heat and will stop degrade if it gets hot
3. The apple tv is intermittent most of time. It has a IR receiver stuck to it and I am wondering if the multiple IR inputs found throughout the coach are conflicting with themselves?
4. The problem is no better with the Winnebago installed LG home theater.
I am speculating that the PACE unit itself is intermittent. I can sometimes get better behavior powercycling the unit. I am reluctant to replace the unit without better proof. It is possible one or more of the remote baluns are bad - those are hard to reset.
