I have a 2005 Itasca Sunrise with the portable Sirius Tuner installed on the dash. Works great with the dash radio in aux mode but does not work with the outside radio in aux mode..

Just asking if that is the way it is or if I can do something to get the signal to the outside radio.

Thanks

Your radio will only get a signal in "Aux" mode when the Sirius is physically connected to the RCA connectors on the radio. If you can run a pair of RCA audio cables to the outside radio, you can make that hookup. You would need a couple of RCA splitters so the Sirius could feed both radios.

I bought my Sirius separately, so I'm not sure if the Winnie supplied unit has the same features. My Sirius can broadcast (what it's receiving) on an FM frequency. Then you just tune the outside radio to that freq and you've got it. A much easier way to go, if it has that capability.

Thanks a lot for your ideas. I've got the Kenwood KTC-H2A1 tuner and am not sure if it transmits a FM signal.
I'll follow up with Kenwood.

Bob, I have the same radios in an Itasca Horizon. To receive Sirius on the outside radio we both will need to install a splitter and hard wire to outside radio. We would have the problem of you could only select stations on the Kenwood reciever.

I just checked my outside radio and I do get the Sirius channel on FM 88.5. The signal is not great and I may need to adjust to 88.4, etc.

Just for grins, I tried receiving (87.9 on my XM Radio) on my outside radio; but no luck. Guess a hardwire/splitter is required.
