I have a Satellite Sirius Radio in my 2005 Journey. I have called and activated it. However, when I turn it on, the screen lights up but I get no sound.

Anybody have any idea how this thing is wired to the speakers? Is it wired through the RV AM/FM radio?

James - this is a guess. Maybe it is wired to the "AUX" position of the dash 'RV Radio'. I added XM radio to my coach and that's how I have mine wired.

Are you sure there wasn't any documentation in your 20 pounds of manuals that described how Winnie installed the Sirius? I had an "audio-visual quick start" page that covered some things in brevity. Maybe you have something similar.

No John, my pack of materials tells how to operate it only, not how it is installed.

My Aux Switch switches the RV AM/FM from one battery bank to the other. As far as I can determine that's all it does.

James,
The "AUX" John is referring to is the aux input. Push the "mode" button repeatedly and it will step through all the inputs - CD, Tape, Radio, & AUX.

Ah ha, Tom, I think you may have the answer. The Sirius must go through the RV radio. However....., I ain't got an RV radio anymore. I had it replaced with a Pioneer GPS which has all of the functions of the RV radio in addition to navigation. It appears my installer did not connect the Sirius to the Pioneer. It seems to me I heard him say something like, "I wonder what these wires connect to."

The RV is at Camping World tomorrow hookin' up my toad. After that I will talk to the GPS installer and see what can be done.

Thanks,

Bet you're right. Hook those mystery wires to the Pioneer's aux input and you'll have your tunes...
