I replaced my 19" boat anchor with a Samsung 32" LCD. I had to trim the cabinets about 2-3 inches on each side and build a mount for it to fit into, and it doesn't extend as far out as the old tv and is not as heavy. Minor skills required to make those mods, and I replaced the glass doors with screens. The screens allow for better ventilation. I also added the $30 winegard HD ant to the crankup ant and it works great when Local TV stations are available. During the Thanksgiving Holiday we used an external DirectTV dish and it was great for the 32" - ALL HD. I sat in the MH watching ballgames in HD while the wife visited with family.

This opened up the tv space for storage and I just move the tv slightly to open the cabinet door next to it. The storage space was located by the cat and his is new home when stopped. He looks out the front window and is very happy there.
I also remove the tv when stored and take it home, thieves will only find a big hole there. No pictures at this time as the unit is in storage. Bigger is better because of the way some tv's box the picture.
Sure would like to see some pictures. We have a 94 Vectra RA with the front Tv in the corner over passenger. How did you get it out? How did you finish it off? Our cabinet around the tv seems to be plastic. Can't see any screws.

I have a 2003 Adventurer and I also am looking in replacing the front 26 inch tv with a 32 Toshiba that will fit just in between the 2 front upper cabinet doors. I intend to remove the front plastic beige contour that covers the front of the old tv. My question is how do you fix the hardware (tv braket) on the inside of the tv housing. Is it necessary to add woodframe or else. It would be nice to see pictures of how others have made the alterations . Thanks for any suggestions
