Future In dash GPS/RVND 7720 Software

Rand McNally Taking Its Market-Leading RV Navigation into the OEM Channel

it looks like they are going to start installing the same software used in the RVND 7720, to be used by the RV industry on these in dash radios that are used by some next year. Winnebago currently uses the Xite radio for their "Infotainment System" option.

And I bet it will be a popular option

I'm hoping to replace the Alpine GPS that came with my Horizon with the RVND 7720. The Alpine upgrade requires an entire new very expensive system. I love the fact that with my current Alpine system I can watch the GPS on my back-up monitor while the co-pilot has her own screen. It now sounds like I can have that feature with the RVND 7720.

I really like the idea. Makes good sense. I am waiting for Black Friday to roll around for, I hope, a good deal on the 7720.

Earl, make sure you do your homework on the 7710 model. There are some issues regarding screen display and audio with that particular model. I understand that the 7715 or 7720 may be the way to go.

My understanding is that the 7720 has the ability to use your back-up camera as well as the 7" screen that comes with it. I think there's some other improvements over the previous models.
