I just finished our front and rear HD digital TV conversion. Photos and installation comments posted on:

Flickr HD TV Photos

We added dedicated DVD players to both front and rear, and retained the shared VCR/DVD, antenna, satellite, and cable connections. With the new TV's, there is an abundance of connection choices. I spent about 2 weeks of spare time getting this done.

One more TV upgrade done, and a great looking job I might add. More and more folks doing these upgrades each day. I did mine a year ago and have been happy ever since. Enjoy.

A very nice job! Thanks for the detailed set of pictures. It looks very close to the setup in my Itasca Sunrise.

Great Job!!!

You outlined how you wired the DVD players but what are you doing for TV reception? Do you have satellite? If so do you use a shared receiver or have you gone HD?

Again, great work.

Thanks, all! I'm not happy with the stain color, as it is a little darker than the original. I will contact Winnebago about getting the correct color. A better link is:

Flickr Sets - you can use the slideshow with comments.

RickO,

I retained all the original Wineguard (AS-2003) dish (for direct TV), the crank-up antenna (works fine for over-the-air HD and digital stations, as well as analog), Sony DVD/VCR Combo, and the selector box - which all feed via the coax inputs to both TVs. So we have all the original capabilities. We just added dedicated DVDs to both front and rear using the HDMI cables. For the front, we used an HD DVD that we had at home and the rear is a small Phillips from Target with Upconvert. With both new LCD sets there are still options for PC Computer input, 3 sets of RCA Video inputs (Grandkids Video Games), and another HDMI input.

The dish and our satellite receiver will need to be upgraded to receive HD, but that's for another time.
