Thanks RKL, another "vote" for the Michelin XZA-1's. I'll check them out.
NeilV good point to be aware of. While at the Goodyear dealer checking out tire prices, when discussing balancing, he asked if I wanted wheel weights or "powder" balancing. Powder balancing is new to me. Of course that could be another post! Is powder balancing better than wheel weights?
Thanks guys. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Balancing beads (powder) is not new and seems to work well if properly done. I had the dealer put Equal balancing powder in my G670's when they were installed in 2005. I have absolutely no vibrations. The cost was about $20 per tire. I did some research on Equal before making this decision.
Equal Tire Balancing </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Powder is not new and works very well. Sometimes it is the only choice for hard to balance tires and is dynamic and self compensating as the tire wears. It will not make up for a defective out of round tire and that is where GoodYear can be a stinker. Their opinion of what is too out of round can be far beyound what is tolerable.
