Have you looked at this system? Trikor - TireSafeGuard Tire Pressure Monitor. This is the system I am planning on installing on my RV and Toad. I decided on the Trikor system after reading reviews on this site.

There are a few different models in use and hard to answer your question without knowing which one you are interested in.

It's the TPMS offered by th Truck Parts store for about $350

I have Tire Sentry www.tiresentry.com I purchased them in 98. I allso have them on the tow car. It monitors by tire pressure 24 hrs. a day. They are set at the pressure I want in my tires. They screw unto the valve stem. You do not have to break the tire down to install. I have the monitor mounted at easy veiw from my seat. If the tire pressure drop 5 lbs. it will give you a warning. If you go to there web site you will learn more. There all kind of monitors out there. The Family Motorcoach mag. has them all in there advertising section.I can go out to the coach right now and in a second I know if I have a tire low. With monitors on the tow car is nice. As you know you can not see what the tires are doing when going down the road. Just do your research and find the one you want. Kinda like don't leave home without them.

I've had the Pressure Pro system for several years now and would not leave home without it. I have had the misfortune on encountering tire problems over and over. For those of you who have never had a problem, I'm the one to thank because I'm the one who keeps the average up. The last trip to the Northeast I picked up a small nail. When I stop, I don't "thump" the tires, I would always check the pressure. Half way to Massachusetts I checked the pressure and found the rear outside tire down 10 pisg. I used my compressor to bring it back to what it should have been and continued. The next rest area it was down 10 psi again. We continued this way to our destination where I called a tire repair to fix it. He had a heck of a time finding the leak because the nail was below the tread of the tire and only leaked when the tire was flexing.

You can check the tire at one rest area and pick up a piece of steel as you're heading back on the highway. Well.......I can.

Now it's been some years since I got the system and it has paid for itself several times in dollar value and is worth so much more in peace of mind. I am not up on what is currently available, but you shopuld consider something.

Now I see the system you are talking about. It looks interesting and you would save about one hundred bucks over a similar Doran/Pressure Pro system.

To me it appears the decision you need to make is to go safe and buy the Doran system which is a proven performer and very popular, or go with a much less popular (for RVs at least) and unknown (for me at least) system.

Your choice...

I'm gonna go for it. I've taken chances all my life and they have a good warranty. Beside I ahve a motorhome and a boat so I'm cheap!

I put the SAF-TTE monitoring system on my coach in June and have since driven about 3000 miles. It works well. The price is unbeatable (ten tire system for $360). Truckerspartstore.com
Negatives: I had to remove the valve extensions on the rear duals (they leaked) and fabricate a wrench extension so that I could mount the sensors through the outer wheel holes. No problems since -- although one of the sensors came off on the toad vehicle. Truckerspartstore has a policy of replacing lost sensors free; can't beat that.
Other negative: The sensor range is marginal for the toad, can't always read the pressure/temp.

Note that Doran is no longer a distributor for PressurePro and has come out with their own system. It may very well prove to be a good system but doesn't have much history yet.

PressurePro and the system that you have to install on the inside of the tire have been around a while, and there information about performance and reliability available about them.

I think Camping World sells the inside the tire system but I don't recall the brand name.

I have used the PressurePro system for a couple of years now and it works well.
Because of the particular way my toad and motor home interact, I did have to get the repeater PressurePro sells.
I had one tire on the toad that the system sometimes could not read. The repeater completely solved that problem.

The "inside the tire" system is "SmartTire". I have Pressure Pro on the View, and SmartTire on the Vectra, toad, and trailer.

I like the SmartTire very much, partly because it interfaces with the Vectra's control system. My coach was a factory demo / show coach, and it came on it - so I don't know about the interface on aftermarket units. The only problem we've had is that it occasionally loses the signal from 2 of the transponders. It is very easy to set up - but it will worry you to death until it's been done correctly (slope calculation).

I don't have enough experience with the Pressure Pro to comment.
