I have just put on the Michelin X ONE Super Singles on my 05 Journey, not enough miles to give report but I will tell you one thing is the ride hase improved 500%.
Another thing we found is that the rig will not sway when a simi passes us.
Before you buy you need to check out the promotion Michelin has for RV owners. You can buy these on for about the same money or in my case less than oem Michelin tires.
With the larger foot print we should improve our milage but I can not say for sure at this point. Stoping power or distance has got to be much shorter because of foot print.

Frank, what size did you get, and if I may ask, what did they cost?

If the tires are wider will they work on rear(duels)? Mich is a good tire and great cust support.

jdsr: the tire being discussed is a single replace for both rear tires. Requires a new single rim, too. Cannot be used on steer axle. They do not fit "all" chassis, I'm told.

Perhaps someone will post a link to the Michelin site where we can find all the details? ED

Here is a trucking (line-haul) industry blurb.

http://www.moderntiredealer.com/t_in...t&storyID=1125

...and yet another...

http://www.etrucker.com/apps/news/article.asp?id=24659

Initial cost appears to be one factor holding people back as does the "stranded" fact if you get a flat/blowout.

They do look cool though...

...and some stuff from Dunlop...

...and one from Kumho...

It seems a few companies are jumping on these as an option.
