Jim,

I don't think you will be disappointed. Between the Koni's and the Super Steer valves on the air bags, my Journey now handles like a very civilized beast.

slmranger,

I have a 03 Journey 36G and looking at putting Koni's on it.
I assume that my 03 would have the same shock, do you have the part numbers for the front and rear?
Did you consider Monroe RV shocks, if so what made you decide on Koni's?

Thanks,

Tom:

I picked Koni primarily based on what I had read on this and other RV forums...most reviews were very favorable. I was not disappointed. The ride is well controlled and much less harsh than with the stock Bilsteins.

When I bought mine, the FSD shock (auto adjusting) was only available for the front of my chassis so I put the manually adjustable Koni's on the rear. I understand they now have the FSD's for both front and rear.

Suggest you contact Justin at www.konirv.com. He can best advise which shocks you need and I got the best price from him with my FMCA membership...shipping was free.

Tom, go to WWW.KONIRV.com, Scroll down to order now,,put in your model ( Freightliner) then the chassis make (XC?) and it will tell you the model numbers for both front and rear.

Call Koni and get a price, and verify the numers, they have free shipping. Justin will be in on Monday Morning and you can ask him about a FMCA discount as no one in the office new anything about one.

Might want to get a price from WWW.SHOX.Com..just for comparison. They have free shipping also...Good Luck

There's an excellent post here in the Freightliner forum describing the Super Steer Motion Control units.

Tom, the only thing that I can tell you is that they are different models as you may have already guessed. What the actual difference is ,,it would take someone with more smarts than me to answer you...Check on the Freightliner web site and or call Freightliner customer support 1 800 385 4357 and or ask the same question on the Freightliner Forum.
I had a 03 39Qd Horizon on the XC chassis, but I really don't knowthe differance..
