Installation Cost of M&G Brake System on 2015 CRV

I know, I know, if you have to ask you can't afford it! We want to move from the Wrangler to a more civilized CRV. Any experiences to share? We will need to start with the baseplate, wiring, and then the brake system. The RV is squared away; any experience will be appreciated. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! There aren't enough sit-ups in the world for all the food I ate Thanks All.

I think that you need to double check whether the 2015 CRV can be towed flat, 4 down. Thought that Honda has changed the transmission and the newest CRV is a no longer listed as a good choice of a toad.

I have the M&G installed on my Avalanche, and love the simple system, and ease of hook up. The company answered all my questions and did the install for the quoted price. I added the break away system as well. I also choose to buy a "rebuilt" unit instead of a new unit.

IMO, M&G is a good option IF your coach as an "air" system, but as the previous poster suggested, I think you will find the ALL 2015 Honda products with automatic tranny CANNOT be towed four down, without modifications.

As long as you get the correct transmission, there's probably nothing easier to tow than a Jeep.

My Air Force One install was $1800 this summer

I got rid of my Honda Fit and got a Jeep, I am now a happy camper

Just goes to show we all have our opinions about a Toad

Fat fingers do not work well at night; I meant a 2014 CRV. Definitely correct that the 2015 CVT is not flat towable.

A new request: is it possible to move the M&G brake system from a wrangler to a wrangler unlimited? I agree, the jeep has been very easy to tow behind the journey.

Thanks for your help!

*103.
+We just bought a 2015 Fiat 500 sport and had it outfitted to tow with our new Itasca Reyo.
Tows like a dream, great on gas. Can't ask for a better Toad however not sure I would want it as our primary vehicle. I do use it to scoot around town.

I think their website has a section for this, here: M & G Engineering - Car Braking Systems: Vehicle Compatibility

Tweetybird, I suggest that you go to the Newmar forum and post a new thread there. That would be more appropriate than interjecting a question about Newmar in the Winnebago forum. I think you'll get better answers there.

I suspect you've responded to a different topic in a different thread. I've done that and even began a new topic in the wrong forum. Think nothing of it though, the only guy who never made a mistake was nailed to a dead tree.

I would call M & G with any questions. They are very helpful and can suggest an installer in your area. I love my M & G.

M&G Installation on a CRV

Thanks to all for your information and knowledge. We've had the M&G on our 2007 Wrangler; we were going back and forth between the CRV and a new Jeep 4 door. Half doors, soft top, and leaking when it rains (for me with 25 years in the Army that was building character!) were not conducive to taking the golden, shopping, talking, and keeping the most important person to me happy while we are driving. Decided to buy a 4 door Sahara (really, really nice) and get it ready with a new system. Funny how events work out. The forum is the best

Don't know about M & G but you NOT want to get a BrakeBuddy to use CRV. I got rid of BB and got AirForce One.

I had a 2008 CRV and same vintage BB. It would never work even after I did the direct connect to the battery. BB worked with me and even sent me a new BB. It kept burning out the compressor. Maybe they have improved the unit now. Hope so.

Love my white 2014 CR-V AWD! Only have 2700 miles on it + 6 or 700 tow miles.

I installed the Air Force 1, Blue Ox base plate, KarGard™ II and Blue Ox TruCenter all my self. The AF1 is a great product with great support. Blue Ox is the same. All are simple to use.

I graduated from several years of towing a Scion xA on a tow dolly. As I got older the prospect for hitching up became less and less attractive. The CR-V and the tow package I have are fantastic. I have NO regrets.
