ABS Light

We have a 2012 Itaska Suncruises (Ford 53F chasis). About 100 miles ago, I was stopping at a light and heard a load popping sound by the drivers front wheel, like I had kicked up something against the chassis. About 10 seconds later, the ABS light came on and stayed on. Brake system light is out, as it should be. Could see no damage under chassis. Brake fluid and fuses are OK. Vehicle brakes as normal with no noise or pulling, even on hills. Any ideas? I know a computer scan will probably tell the tale but don''t have access to code reader.

Just wondering if you have done a visual inspection of the ABS sensor on the wheel? If not it might reveal some damage to the sensor? Just thinkin? Good luck with your study of this and please let us know what you find and how this turns out.

It finally quit raining in Michigan long enough for me to climb under the RV and do an inspection. It appears that something impacted the vent tube on the back axel, pulling it loose from the axel fitting and the clip on the frame. It was dangling suspended by only a rubber grommet that attached it to the passenger side rear speed sensor wire. The conector end of the sensor wire was supporting all the weight of the vent tube in 60 mph+ winds. Haven't had the opportunity to do a continuity test on the sensor, but suspect that one of the wires is broken at the connector.

Anxious to hear how you make out and what the fix is.
