You are correct on trailer weight. I have a 1706fb and it is rated at 2900 lbs dry. You should not have a problem. I purchased a Curt WE hitch with built in sway control, what a good purchase i made, could be a bit over kill but works great.

After talking to a friend of mine who is an rver and an attorney, we were talking about weight with rv And tow vehicle. Hope it never happens to any of you, but if in accident and your rig has exceeded weight limits, you could be held liable. Your fault of not. Insurance Company's now have vehicle weight accident specialist. It started with big rigs and with so many rv's on road today, they are looking at all.
