No hot water

We are out with our MM for only our 2nd trip. We had it de-winterized a couple of weeks ago. We had hot water ok last night when we were just on battery. Now we are on 30 amp power and hooked up to the water. We have no hot water. We have been fussing with it all day and googling hot water issues. It has on demand tankless.
Also, dumb question- the switch for the water pump - if we turn that on, the pump runs continuously- shouldn’t that only come on when water tap is turned on? We are so confused...
Thanks

You might look at this video:

Yes when your water pump builds pressure up to the right point it will stop. Since it does not the pressure switch in the pump is faulty or you have a leak. Good luck.

If your hooked up to a water line, your pump should be turned off. The pump is only used if you’re using water from the fresh water tank.

I don’t have any experience with tankless hot water heaters. Is it electric or gas? If gas, have you checked your propane level? If it’s electric, try unplugging the power cord and running from your batteries. If it works then you may have an electrical issue.

Good luck!

I'm not certain if it is the same way on your HW unit, but there is a thermal cutoff on my unit that protects the circuitry if there is a flameout due to spiderwebs or some other obstruction in the burner tube, causing the flame to reverse directions and come out of the wrong end. If the thermal cutoff "blows" it won't work on gas or electric.

Thank you! Would you believe that the de-winterizing that we had done and paid for actually did not get done? Lol! All will be fine once we actually de-winterize our unit. That was a real curve ball thrown to a couple of real novices. Good thing we have a sense of humour and the campground has hot showers! Thanks for your input!

Just dewintrize it yourself. No sense in spending $$ to winterize or dewinterize. Itt is easy to do. Check You Tube for a video or look in your manual.

Some are on demand, our 2016 Itasca Reyo is, and others may not. Check your owners manual.
