Calling all Winnebago Minnie trailer owners!!!

Have you seen another Minnie in your camping travels? I'm really curious as we've had our Minnie since the fall of 2013 and we've spent quite a few nights in it with travels to Florida and elsewhere and haven't seen another Minnie in any of our trips. How about you??

SCBWR, Ours pre-dates the 'Minnie' by being a Sunnybrook harmony 21'. Does have a Winnebago sticker on the door (2012 model), so I consider us one and the same....
On our trip from CA to Ohio where we picked up SQUEZINN new from the dealer last summer, we only saw 1 sunnybrook harmony (20FBS) on our long way home in Cape Cod, and at long last, 1 Minnie 20FB (20' no slide) at Mt Rainier NP. Just a couple of weeks ago, we saw 'The Great Pumpkin' (2101FBS) in Yosemite. Owner was from Victor, ID; They smiled when I told them we stayed in their town in 2013!

Nice to hear from you!
We've been on the road over a week and still haven't seen a Minnie. It's off to the Grand Tetons today, so I'll be checking the rigs at Colter Bay. Then it will be up to Yellowstone, and then the West Glacier KOA.

Most I have seen on the road (I-75 or I-40), but I did see one in AZ at lake Powell resort.

There is a dealer near me and they have sold about a dozen in the last year, but I have not seen them at the local campgrounds.

Found One

I ran into my daughter in-law and her parents last Saturday and her parents have a 2016 - 2106FBS in the light gray. They bought theirs before be bought our new 2015 - 2101FBS in Red. I didn't know they were going camping at the same place so when we stopped to say hi to another Minnie owner and I saw my daughter in law right away I realized who it was. Hoping to all go camping soon, but waiting for pouring rain to end. They started with a smaller one with the bed going east to west, but didn't like someone crawling over the other to get up so they took it back and bought the 2106FBS and are very happy as we are.

Trailers, maybe not. But during our recent trip to Yellowstone we saw many Minnie Winnie motorhomes.

We also saw a lot of them when we took our trip out west in May & June.

OK...sales figures for the past three fiscal years taken from the 2014 Winnebago Annual Report:

2012:
trailers 1,372
fifth wheels 966

2013:
trailers 2,038
fifth wheels 497

2014:
trailers 2,052
fifth wheels 457

5,462 trailers for the three years
1,920 fifth wheel trailers for the three years

A couple of observations:

Their sales are steady, but not growing that much. Will 2015 be a different story?
Did some early negative reviews of their fifth wheel trailers have an impact on their 2013 & 2014 sales?
I also read that they are leasing the manufacturing facility in Middlebury, Indiana. This makes me wonder about their long term commitment to the towable division, but leasing may just be a better option for them at this time.
Compared to the big manufacturers of trailers (Keystone, Jayco, Fleetwood, etc.) it's easy to see why we don't see a lot of other Winnebago towables on the road.

Finally, I will be looking for their 2015 report and see if sales have increased.

Makes me wonder how collectable our trailers will be. :-)
Or is it a great time to get a smoking deal on a Winnebago 5er?

Is there any way to figure out how many of each Floorplan they made?
I'm just curious because my 2301bh was discontinued after just a year and I have never seen another one in person or on forums. It's not even listed on the Winnebago site as a discontinued model. A few dealers had them advertised in red and one in yellow once.
I guess it can't be much more than 50, but maybe I'm wrong.

You might be able to find out if you call Winnebago. I've never found any info on the internet that breaks it down by model.

Minnie doing the job

Our new Micro Minnie 1706 has 4000 + miles on it in less than a month. So far it has done everything we need. A couple of faults showed up on the Al Can highway in rough spots. Miserable road north of Whitehorse left the dinette window valance laying on the table. Needed much better attachments. And the bumper plug fell out west of Haines Junction and we trailed our sewer hose until flagged down by amused onlooker. But we are comfortable traveling in it, because it is Not a Tent!

It would be fun to see more on the road. Could use a dedicated forum group like Casita has.

There is Winnebago Minnie Towables and that is all about our Minnies. It is part of the Winnebago forum.
