Just purchased a 2108ds and love it so far. The only quirk it seems to have is that the passenger side air conditioner ductwork has four vents and the driver side duct only has one vent over the foot of the front bed. That one vent on the driver side is horribly loud unless you take the plastic register out. does anyone know of a way to quiet down that vent? Would it be possible to add another vent in the driver side ductwork? Love this trailer but this one aspect of it is a little bit irritating.
We have the 2108DS as well. The air conditioning is noisy, it works well, but even on low speed its noisy. On ours there are two vents over the bed, one by the fridge, and one in the bathroom.
We put in a Maxxair power vent over the bed (replacing the original vent). Using that we find that we don't need the air conditioning nearly as much. Its thermostat controlled, reversible, and variable speed.
Thanks for the reply. Mine has 4 vents on the curbside trunk and one vent (the loud one over the foot of the bed) on the roadside trunk. just yesterday I added a second vent to the roadside trunk. It balanced out the system tremendously and made it quieter. For some reason the small bathroom has two vents in it. it was my understanding that dometic specifications said that each trunk had to have a minimum of 4 registers. Not sure why Winnebago built it the way they did. That being said, I am thankful to have a system that works very very well rather than one which can barely keep the place cool.
I believe the ductwork for the A/C is integral to the molded foam insulation in the roof, so I don't think you can add a vent. You might want to research a different vent/diffuser to use on the noisy one.

I just noticed that mine has two vents in the bathroom too...seems excessive for such a small space.
Ductwork is separate from roof insulation. The roof insulation appears to be fiberglass batt insulation. The ductwork is rigid foam approximately 8 in wide and one and a half inches tall. It was very easy to temporarily remove one of the speakers to find the right spot to cut for the new register. It all went back together well and works fine. This is a 2019 2108ds
