Sewer hose storage Navion

I was surprised to not find a slot to store the sewer hose on my 2014 Navion.
What do you do with yours?

I plastic tubs to store my main hose and the extension hose. I put one in rear compartment and one in the driver's side front storage compartment. My model does have hose storage device but it won't work with hoses with connectors on both ends.

Others have fabricated underneath storage compartments using PVC fence posts.

Same as Lovelabs, its a pain when slide is out to access so a little pre-planning is in order. If you don't have autolevers, there is room to bolt a 4x4 plastic fence post (available from Home Depot) under the frame to carry the 3" hose. See U-Tube for a video detailing the installation.

If you don't use the trailer hitch, there are also possibilities to mount the 4x4 fence post on the rear. In either case, only normal twist connectors fit inside the 4x4 fence post, no fancy bends or fittings so you still need to use space in a compartment for hose, etc.

A different and expensive approach is a macerator with a dedicated garden hose requires less space in the compartment but also needs a 12 Volt connector wired into the compartmant to power the macerator.

A plastic tub with snap fasteners on the lid is handy, you can keep your spray bottle of disinfectant bleach water in the tub with the hose and other black water accessories.

Our 18V24D came with a little sewer hose storage compartment. Not functional with a real sewer hose with fittings. I removed it completely since it was wasting space, put a patch over the outside hole and plugged the drain hole. I store my dual hose and attachments in a tray in that exact space now. The hoses have end caps, no smell.

Looked all over for a good place to stash the sewer hoses on our new-to-us 2008 View 24j. I wanted to get it out of the storage compartments since I just don’t want it sharing space with other stuff, even it it is in its own bucket/storage bin. Also didn’t want to see it on the rear hitch-mount rack if I could avoid it.

Finally hit on this fix with the 8’ long 5” vinyl fence posts from Lowe’s. These tuck under the slide-out “cooler” drawer and there’s plenty of room for a 10’ slinky hose in each of the two 42” sections, plus the elbow fittings. They hang down about the same as the storage door panels and the propane tank in the opposite side. The only downside is that they’re on the opposite side of the RV from the drain compartment, but I can live with that.

Very cheap, quick and simple. They’re bolted through the bottom of the drawer with eight 1/4” SS pan head machine screws. The end (vinyl post) caps are riveted on one end and held in place by 1/4” aluminum pins on the other.

My Navion doesn’t have the same lower configuration as yours but I have figured out how to deal with it for now
