Question New step controller has reversed operation

2007 Itasca Sunstar
I fixed a new step controller just plug and play no problems but when I powered it up the step operation was reversed ie door open steps in, door closed step out.
Before going to crazy I thought I would ask if anyone else had 5his problem and what is the solution
Thanks

You need to replace the magnetic door switch with one that matches your controller. One switch is Normally Open, another is Normally closed. Your switch on the door does not match the new controller. Do not reverse the DC leads to the controller.

Smile Steps working "backwards"

I upgraded to the new controller. Same result. I just reversed the on/off switch position. I pried off the switch surround (the little frame around the switch that has the on/off lettering on it), turned the switch upside down, and put the surround back on. Works just fine.:flowers
