I'm in Germany with my View.

I shipped my View and had to get my propane tank purged before shipping. That took me 3 weeks to find someone and he had to drive 3 hours to get to me. Now I'm worried about when I ship it back finding someone here to purge it. I'm thinking of going to a local RV store and see if they can take my propane line from the on board tank to put a removable (German) propane tank.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

Propane dealers can purge your tank. Give the ones closest to you a call. I'm sure the German propane dealers can do the same.

I thought that all dealers in the states would purge. No one would in my area. Like I said it took me 3 weeks. The person that helped me was a guy that has his own business that purges Propane Truck tanks. Mine was the first for him.

But it is worth a shot to find someone here, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'd disconnect the on-board and use a German propane tank. Are you going to use it to heat or just cook?

Use it for cooking, heating, and fridge. Otherwise I'm down to using battery for fridge and having no hot water. I currently don't have a 110v solution to power the rv. Thinking about at least running a 220v power extension cord into RV to have that for electric. I'll work something out. Thanks for your comments. Happy to be over here and start camping.
