How comfortable is U shape dinette in Mini Winnie 26A

We tried U dinettes in other manufacturers and couldn’t sit long enough to watch TV. The cushion was firm to make it into a bed. Is the seating good in this model?

It is awful. The corner angles make it impossible to get comfortable. I am going to rip it all out and replace it with 2 recliners. There are only 2 things I don't like about our 2018 26a: The dinette cushions and the stupid rectangular spout kitchen faucet that has no aerator and splashes water everywhere.
It does wander around when driving and does not like wind. I pumped up the rear air bags to 70 psi and that helps a LOT.

Have you driven other RVs of same size that wander less? Wonder if it is the extra weight of the slides in back? We had to get stabilizer bars added to our current unit. Another brand snd same stupid faucet

We love our 2018 26A but hate the stupid U shaped Dinette. It is very uncomfortable. The first thing I did was to remove those useless Leg Rest that raise up. What are you suppose to do... sit there with your legs out and no place to lead back? After removing them I made a door at the end of each bench seat. THAT was a great idea.. it provided a lot of extra storage. The center part of the Dinette, the part against the wall, has a tremendous amount of empty space under it, so I ordered one of the outside compartment doors to install on the outside of the slide to easily access that space. The next thing up is to decide how to make the sitting area more comfortable. The corner cushions are not good. I want a place to sit and eat, so I don't want to replace the Dinette with a couch or recliners. I've given thought to turning it into a traditional type Dinette where you sit across from each other. I DON'T want to remove the bases of the seats because of the great amount of storage under them... once access has been provided. As for the facet, we just put a water filter on the end. Seems to work well.

We have a 2017 26A. We like the dinette mostly. The one thing that we don't like is the curved cushion in each corner. That was a dumb idea, as it makes it tough to get "just right" in either direction. If you want to recline with your feet up, you have lay at sort of an angle so as not to be smooshed into that curve. We deal with it, but I'm considering having an upholstery shop re-do those corner cushions into 90º right angles.

The foot rests would be SO much better if they were strong enough to sit on. As it is, we do use them occasionally to recline and watch a movie. I'd get a lot more use from them as extra seating when we have visitors.

We also have 26A and are thinking about getting new cushions also. On our last trip I got rid of the corner cushion and just used pillows to lounge with my feet on the foot rests. It was much better.
