Battery disconnect switch

We have a 2016 View. Can someone tell me how to disconnect the chassis battery? It’s to the right of the gas pedal. Do you push, pull, turn or what?
Thanks

On a MB Sprinter ? see if this helps. I have never done mine but saw someone on a video do it, it took a bit of force..

1 Remove the key from the ignition lock and
wait for about 20 seconds.
2 Press and hold button ; and unplug connector : in the direction of the arrow from
the earth pin.
3 Clamp connector : under the accelerator
pedal so that it cannot make contact with
the earth pin.

Ground wire disconnect

Just did my View battery disconnect.

Hold red “button” on top of disconnect in.. pull out, away from “doghouse”.. first time was a difficult pull..

You are discovering the battery ground, if the cable is too snug, there is a lot of slack in the battery box.. pull the floor mat and loosen the battery cover.. pull a half inch of inch of slack out of the battery box and retighten .. replace mat..

My retracting stairs drain the battery..

My 2018 View 24J with 2017 M-B cab chassis has the same diagram, but recommends waiting at least 5 minutes before disconnecting the battery. Exact words from the manual are:
Remove the key from the ignition lock and wait for at least five minutes.
- Press button 2 in the direction of the arrow and hold.
- Pull connector 1 from the ground pin.
- Push connector 1 as far to the side as possible so that it cannot make contact with the ground pin.
All starter battery consumers are disconnected from the power supply.

To reconnect:
- Insert the key into the ignition lock.
- Press connector 1 onto ground pin 2 until
you feel it engage and the lock inhibitor is released.
Connector 1 must be in full contact with ground pin 2.
All consumers are reconnected to the DC power supply.

Might be a good idea to check the manual that came with your rig and/or talk to a M-B tech.
