We various spring bars like used for frigs, cutting them down to fit whatever opening we find. One advantage is the small form factor when stored when we get to a place where we stay longer and want full open access, also when they are in place, we can see through and around the bars to locate small items like bottles while we move.
Our use is somewhat different as we are a motorhome which makes us much more likely to want into the shelves while moving, while a trailer person is more likely to be stopped when needing the stuff in the compartment.
