This is my first experience with an RV. 2001 Itasca Sundancer.
For the most part I've been able to find the answers to my questions in the literature and youtube. But for the life of me, I can't answer this one. (At least til the next one.)
Where is my awning wand stowed? Awning rod, awning hook, awning pole... Seen it titled several different ways.
I may not have one since this is a used RV. But I won't know until I check the stowage.
WoooHooooo! You are a jewel! I had checked all of the basement compartments! I didn't see that this space went back that far. The rod was on the back wall of the space along with another curtain rod. I am so pleased! Bless you both! We are headed to Mossy Rock WA tomorrow for 4 days. And the weather is supposed to be in the 90's. We live on the coast at the beach in WA where the weather rarely goes over 75 degrees. So this ol' girl is gonna fry! But now I'll have some shade! Thank you, Thank you!

You have probably been told about this, but just in case: When you go to stow the awning, always, always have that wand in hand or very close at hand and "reachable" ..... assuming your awning works like my Dometic manual model.
Safe travels ............... ed s

When my awning is extended, I store the wand inside the channel of one of the support arms using one of the empty adjustment holes to hold it in place.

We always stow the awning when we leave and also use tie downs. Those screw-in stakes for pets work fine. We had a squall come up so quickly it took our awning up on top of coach - destroyed it.
