31g skid asm shoe

I have a 2018 31g and the skid shoe came loose under our dinette seat under the slide. It’s an aluminum rectangular tube covered with carpet. It appears to have had two sheet metal screws that sheared off. There is no way to secure it back in a simple way. Can I leave it out? Or let it float freely? Or any ideas on how to secure it back in place? See attached photos. Thanks

If it’s a 2018 is it still under warranty? I’m not sure what it is or what it does, exactly. Do you think it’s just for appearance or maybe something that serves a specific purpose?

You photos are small, but the top photo looks like it has a part number on it. Perhaps you should call WBGO support and tell them the part number and they can answer your question.
