Those little night lights Winnie uses

I've seen this discussed on and off for years on what to replace those bulbs with. Well, here is a direct fit LED in WW that draws around 30ma. They are from eBay for around $2.50 a pair delivered

They also draw around 250ma ea., and that starts to add up when boondocking. These are less than 30ma ea. and will last forever

Are they directional and need to be installed facing a certain direction, or do they emit light from all around?

They are polarity sensitive as most LED's are. Point it down for the most light or facing into the reflector for a little less. Winnie's usually have two. Here is the kitchen with flash and the bedroom without. All for around 60ma draw.

these are Xenon White, they are more like daylight towards blue. The ones I bought are Warm White and look exactly like the incandescent lamp pulled out.

I bought these thru Ebay. Mine get hot though, guess that's why they cost $6.99 for a pkg of 10. I had to rotate them pointing up or they are waay too bright at night. I only wanted 3, got a lot of spares now.
The originals are named "fuse-lamps" because they are flat on the ends, but all I could find locally are Festoon bulbs, pointed on the ends.

Ray,In and others,

I used these bulbs as replacements for the original. I had to replace the door step light fixture as the replacement blub got too hot and popped out the silver back with the blub connection, fell down into the plastic cabinet and melted a spot on the cabinet before I could get the light turned off and the blub pulled.

I ordered the original bulbs and new fixture and they are installed with spares when one burns out. Lots cooler.

Be careful out there. I also ordered, but have not received the LED bulbs and will give them a try too just for fun.

Sorry for my confusion,

The lights that got very hot were not the LED's, but were festoon bulbs.
