Winnebago Gutters

I have searched all over the forums and internet and can’t find where anyone’s posted a solution to this issue. I’ve got gutters that run along the edge of my RV. They don’t quite run all the way to the front, so the water that collects in them dumps out right in the middle of the driver and passenger window. I’ve put gutter extenders on, but that only takes care of the water that comes from the gutter. As you can see in the attached photo, water from the roof runs down in front of the gutters too. So two problems, gutter extenders doesn’t divert all the water from the gutter and gutter doesn’t collect all the water running from the roof. I thought about putting in those air deflector things like I have on my truck. This would at least make the water run around the glass and not run right down it, but I can’t find any to buy. This is a minor thing, but it’s driving me nuts. It also concerns me that the water running off the roof (mostly condensation from the air conditioner) runs off right in front of the front tire, keeping the tire and tire cover wet all the time. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with my Intent 26M. I’ve seen some plastic things that attach to the corners and direct the water AWAY from the body. I’m going to look into them after our current trip.
Another issue is the OUTSIDE of the side windows and mirrors have been fogging up in the late afternoons driving in wet weather. The mirror heaters don’t do anything. I’ve had to pull over and clean with windex...not easy when they won’t dry.

I used Amazon purchased Camco gutter extensions modified to work on the Winne gutter. They’re been on for 2 years now with no issues. I used a self-tapping screw to keep them on the rail and then caulked around where I had to cut them to fit.

We purchased these from dragonfly and they work great! We like them because they do NOT have to be screwed into the side of our camper. We highly recommend them.

Once level I go to manual leveling and rise the front up a little and let water from A/C run off back. Will also look into those gutters.

When I park I set the leveling to 1° nose-high. I have a set of the gutter extensions I bought after stopping at a toll booth, opened the driver window and got a bath during a hard rain.

I installed mine a month ago on my 2012 Sightseer. It took a little trimming of the plastic and some caulking. But it worked.

So happy to find these made to fit a Winnebago, thought I'd have to get the Camco brand. Just ordered a set in Black for my Forza. Can't wait to install them and get rid of the streaks.

What I did was buy a stick on gutter that I stuck over the windows. It was mainly for PM and I've found that it works...sorta. IF the rainfall is intense, I still get those streaks as shown in the above picture. However, 90% of the time during and after less then a gully washer type rainfall, the window stays streak free.

Here's how I put it over the drivers side, I did a better job on the other windows after that practice.

You can read the ad free article here: Weather Proofing, & Windows...

The gutter didn't completely cure the issue, but it sure reduced it.

Went to the storage yard and installed the gutter extensions this morning. Rears went on slicker than dodo. Fronts were another story. The front cap not being flush with the side of the MH would not allow the Gutter Extension to slide into the gutter, had to shave some of the protrusion to allow it to fit. THEN dropped the screw..aaghh, meaning a trip home to get another screw. Learned my lesson before doing the passenger front, shaved the protrusion and brought an extra screw. How about an extra screw in each package?

Had the same problem as Rob. Rears went on no problem, front I broke the drivers side trying to force it in. Don't take the screw all the way out, leave it loose and slide the extension in, then tighten the screw.

On mine it will require a lot of Shaving on the drivers side, due to PO excess caulking.
