Waste hose opening
The end of my waste hose will not fit through the opening for the hose. Must remove end slip hose through opening and put end back on hose. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have work around?

It's hard to provide possible answers without knowing which rig (model and year) that you own... they are all so different.

Good point. It is a 2018 Vista 30T.

I don't know about the 30T but on my 29VE, there is a black circular disk in the bottom of the water bay that you're supposed to rotate to create an opening where you can run the sewer line. The hole in the bottom of the bay was too small so I carved out some of the bottom of the bay (white plastic) with a sharp knife to allow for more room for the sewer hose. I did it cautiously so that the black rotating "plug" still covered the hole. But I only use this technique on long stops where I leave the sewer hose hooked up. If we're only staying for 2 to 3 days, I just let everything build up and then flush before we leave. At that time, I don't bother putting the sewer line through that silly, hardly usable hole, I just run it right out the door.
I hope that helps!

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about & have the same problem. The slinky knuckles are about 4-1/2" across, but the wet bay porthole is only 4".
I have a 6 incher on order (could of done 5" but found a 6" that more closely resembles the fresh water porthole better) and have plenty of clearance for it.

Excellent idea and I noticed that Amazon also sells a brand that has 4", 6" and 8". I guess you could use the 8" ones if you want to go bigger...

Marine dealers have different size ones.
Also, you can shave a little off of the knuckles, it should still lock and be able to fit into the hole.

Some of the end pieces that connect to the MH are just a little bigger than the hole. I used a moto tool and ground down the outside edge of the ears a little and now when I slant the coupling, I can get it through the opening. Not hard to do and only took about a couple of minutes on each ear to fix.

A great idea for another 2019 29VE owner.
Thanks.
Note I added a Valterra Twist-On Waste Valve, Mess-Free Waste Valve for RV's, Campers, Trailers
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Because in the three different RV I have owned and several others I have rented the black tank valve always leaks a little and this valve solves that messy problem.

Hello Noah4448, we must be thinking alike because I also installed the Valterra Twist-on valve this weekend. I used the RV about 1 month ago and when I removed the sewer cap, the leak had accumulated to at least a full cup.
Adding this new valve in series, should help out a lot. Unfortunately the Valterra product has very a weak grip on the locking tabs. I think that it's a poor design because it's already popped off several times when I was testing it. I'm going to have to be aware of this each time that I use it. Too bad it wasn't made better...

The 31BE has the same rotating black disk mentioned above and I use a compartment hose that I’m able to get just right into the bay. I need to bring my jig saw and enlarge the hole.

MinnieKJB,
Sorry for taking so long to respond.
With the twist-on valve installed there is not enough room to attack a waste hose. I generally don't leave the hose installed and just have it go out the door when I dump. You could use the valve, dump out the door, remove the valve, attach the hose inside, and when you leave reattach the valve.
Side question. I assume you have a vista 29VE. Do you have radio reception issues with your Winni installed HD radio? for me, some stations my truck gets just fine squelch ina and out.

No problem with my radio reception so far. And yes I have the 29ve. Just about every time I Take the cap off the sewer drain I get a nice surprise.
